Sunflowers, Zinneas and Pumpkins

Our plants have flourished under the grow lights. We have been comparing and contrasting the three plant types. Also, we have incorporated non fiction text features such as charts, labeling and magnification drawings in our science journals. I am hoping that some of the children will be able to harvest a pumpkin in the fall.

3rd Grade Mammal Reports

We had a wonderful time visiting our 3rd grade buddies classrooms. Our buddies shared their mammal research projects. After, we wrote them congratulations notes.

Family Picnic and Celebration of Learning

All School Meeting

We began our day with All School Meeting. Gavin, Jonathan, Reece, Ava, Alex and Ceci shared a narrative or opinion piece of writing.  The 5th graders presented a skit to remind us about respectful behavior on the playground. The kindergarteners sang a song and Mrs. Bowker's 2nd grade shared a poem.  We enjoyed a song by string jam, too.

Change Is Simple

During our last session with the teachers from Change Is Simple. We worked in 3 small groups to build a windmill from a set of plans.  The children did a wonderful job completing this cooperative task.

Family Fun Night

What a delightful evening! The children were full of smiles!

Our Music Morning

The children were so excited to perform for you.  They did a wonderful job sining and smiling. I was so glad everyone was able to join in the festivities.
