Family Fun Night

What a delightful evening! The children were full of smiles!

Our Music Morning

The children were so excited to perform for you.  They did a wonderful job sining and smiling. I was so glad everyone was able to join in the festivities.

Planting

Our planting unit is well underway and we are so excited to see the changes in our seeds.  The children planted pumpkin, sunflower and zinnia seeds which are being encouraged under grow lights. Also, we are watching a bean seed germinate in a recycled water bottle planter. We are studying how seeds move and the parts and function of plant parts.  Along with our daily observations, we are reading a variety of non fiction texts.

Partner IPADS

We have been exploring a variety of language arts and math apps on the iPads. The children have been working with partners which has facilitated lots of problem solving and compromise conversations.

The Author's Message- Big Al

The author's message was.........
The author's messages were....

it's okay if you are weird but you can still have friends-Ava

even if you are very different you can be friends-Jonathan

you can be friends even if you look different because Big Al had no friends because he looked scary. He had friends when he saved them from the net.-Ian

even if someone is not your friend you should still be friends because Big Al rescued the little fish even though the little fish were not his friends. After, all of the fish were his friends.-Megan

even if you are different you can still be friends because if you help someone you may become friends. Also, because your heart is strong with love. Also, Big Al save the fish so they were friends-    Abigail

you don't need to be the same to have friends. You should still help people who are not your friend. You don't have to be the same size to have friends.-Jonas

to be yourself no matter what happens. Even if you are scary you can still be friends. Remember to be yourself-Amelie

even if you are different you can still be friends with other people or fish. If someone is being mean to you try to make the person happy and you should believe in yourself. Make your life special even if you are different you can still have a lot of friends.- Alex

it doesn't if you are small or big, you can help fish even if you are small or big.-Cecilia

even you are different it doesn't mean  you can be friends. You should always treat people nice.-Caden

no matter how big you are you can still be friends. It does matter if you are different color, you can still be friends- Amaya

heart is stronger than looks  because Big AL was friends with the small fish even though he was Big AL and he was big. He was friends with the little fish because he saved them from being caught. Don't judge people by their looks.- Gavin

just because you are big does not mean you can not have friends because it is your heart that starts friendship not your looks- Penelope

even though you are different you can still be friends- Reece
