The Statue Of Liberty

We continue our study of American symbols.  We learned many interesting facts about the Statue of Liberty. Did you know there are seven points on her crown to represent the 7 continents?

Buddy Activity- A Community Service Project

The children met with their buddies and designed Spring and Earth Day posters that were attached to recycled paper grocery bags.  These bags were donated to Acord Food Pantry.

Composing And Decomposing Shapes

The children have had fun using the pattern blocks and tangrams to compose and decompose shapes. The Common Core State Standards in Mathematics focus and emphasize the need for students to build composite shapes from smaller shapes and break a geometric shape into smaller shape.

I would love to have as many parents as possible join us on this field trip.  In years past, I have had one parent for every two children which allows the children to enjoy the experience in a small group.
